I use several layers of epoxy to fill in the pores in the wood.

I am using nitrocellulose lacquer that is some what noxious, so I use a fan to blow the overspray out of the shop.

Here I am positioning the bridge on the top of the guitar.

I use a sharp blade to score the perimeter and then I scrap away all of the finish where the bridge will go.

A little glue and a little pressure.

I let the glue set up overnight.

Now I can finish drilling the holes for the bridge pins.

And then I make a few adjustments.
